This is where I will be posting about my many craft projects. You will find links to tutorials and to my Etsy store where you can buy many of the items I create. I'm currently making slow-stitched hearts, altered book journals and blank journals that are designed to support you with your own creative projects.

Textile hearts

These charming ornaments are unique pieces of textile art. I have hand sewn them using scraps of material and embellished them with brocade, ribbon, semi-precious stones and found objects. A selection will be available to purchase from my Etsy shop (BeautifullyAlteredCe). You can see slow-stitching videos on my Youtube channel BeautifullyAltered.

Altered book journals

Every journal is one of a kind. I take vintage books with interesting covers and/or content and carefully remove all the pages. I then sew back a selection of original pages/images plus I insert designed and printed papers, watercolour paper, notepaper, eco-printed pages and a selection of ephemera. These make delightful gifts for writers, journallers and art journallers. I sell them at markets and via my Etsy shop. I am happy to do commissions. Blank creative journals

These notebooks are designed to support various creative pursuits. The first one I created was for myself! I was studying photography and wanted a place to keep a record of my ideas, the settings I used, and the outcomes. I created the journal to be a handy field notebook size that I could carry with me. The pages are designed for the notes I need to make plus a space for my own notes so that the journal is very flexible. It became a really useful notebook to plan my shoots and a constant record showing how I had developed. 


I have now created several journals in the series. There is 'My Crafty Journal' for any kind of craft project; 'My Knitting Journal' specifically for knitters and crocheters; and a 'Beekeeper's Journal' with pages specially designed to keep notes of all the various aspects that need to be recorded during hive checks.
